The workshop focused on presenting the main results of the programme and evaluating the path of supporting a number of institutions active in the industrial and construction sectors, particularly with regard to implementing the requirements of the international standard ISO 50001:2018. On this occasion, participants from the relevant institutions and the auditing experts assigned to accompany them were also honored, in appreciation of their commitment to developing effective and sustainable energy disposal systems.
The Director General of the National agency for energy conservation, Mr. Nafi Al-Bakari, honored the participants, stressing in his speech the strategic importance of energy disposal as a fundamental lever for improving the energy performance of institutions, enhancing their competitiveness, and reducing energy costs and carbon emissions, in line with national trends in the field of energy transition and sustainable development.
He also stressed the need to establish a culture of continuous improvement within institutions, build national competencies capable of ensuring the sustainability of energy disposal systems, and expand the adoption of ISO 50001 as a practical tool to support national energy policies.
This workshop falls within the framework of mobilizing various stakeholders around a joint roadmap that ensures the continuation of efforts made, contributes to the dissemination of best practices in the field of energy management, and supports the energy transition path in Tunisia.
