German cooperation has provided support to the National Agency for Energy Management "ANME" since the 1980s, in the form of technical and/or financial assistance, and this through the implementation of cooperation projects in partnerships with partner organizations and major German financial institutions in particular, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUB), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (AA), German Development Cooperation (GiZ) and the German Development Bank (KfW).
