The National Agency for Energy Conservation is a non-profit public sector institution which has legal personality and financial autonomy. 

As an independent public organization, ANME is overseen, administratively, by the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Energy. 

ANME’s mission is to design and implement Tunisian national policy in the field of energy management. 

This is achieved through the promotion of sound energy usage, the development of renewable energies, and facilitating the transition to energy with less harmful environmental impact.
