Mr. Fethi Hanchi, General Director of the National Agency for Energy Management, presided today, Friday, October 4, 2024, over the signing and issuance of work orders for the implementation of the third phase of self-production electricity projects under the Energy Transition Program for Public Institutions (TEEP).
The head of the program, Mr. Nafaa Baccari, presented an overview of the various projects, which are expected to be completed by the end of May 2025. The total capacity of the projects in this phase is approximately 10 megawatts, distributed across 102 public institutions.
Following an international call for tenders, seven Tunisian companies specializing in the installation of photovoltaic systems were selected, along with three control offices to oversee their implementation.
It is worth noting that the first phase of the program, with a capacity of 1 megawatt, was completed earlier this year. The second phase, with a capacity of 4 megawatts, is nearing completion. Meanwhile, the evaluation of offers and contract signing with the companies for the fourth phase, with a total capacity of around 20 megawatts, is in the final stages.
