As part of the technical support provided to industrial companies and their efforts to reduce carbon emissions from their activities while enhancing their competitiveness in international markets, the National Agency for Energy Management, with the support of GIZ (German International Cooperation), organized an Information Day on Carbon Accounting on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. This event was an opportunity to explore approaches, tools, and methods for assessing companies' carbon footprint and balance, as well as defining effective strategies to reduce them.

This event was a valuable opportunity to enhance participants' understanding of carbon accounting concepts and carbon balance assessment mechanisms. It also provided a platform to discuss the definition of the carbon footprint and ways to reduce it. During the event, the digital platform DecarboAct, developed by the National Agency for Energy Management, was presented. This platform allows companies to calculate their carbon footprint and propose effective action plans to reduce their emissions.
