Mr. Fathi Hanchi, General Director of the National Agency for Energy Management, participated on Monday, November 25, 2024, in a roundtable discussion held as part of the first edition of the Sustainable Business Forum. This session focused on strategies and solutions to accelerate the transition to a green economy.

During this session, Mr. Fathi Hanchi highlighted the role of the National Agency for Energy Management in implementing the State's policy to support the energy transition in Tunisia. He emphasized the importance of promoting investment in this sector by supporting private companies in the execution of green projects and by developing an integrated and coherent ecosystem of services and industries. He also emphasized the importance of the forum as a strategic platform to strengthen and accelerate the energy transition through joint investment projects in renewable energy, energy recovery from waste, and clean technologies. He highlighted the need to establish appropriate financing mechanisms to encourage investments in these priority sectors.

The forum represented a unique opportunity to strengthen strategic cooperation between Tunisia and the Nordic countries, while opening new investment prospects and mobilizing climate finance to support future projects in this key sector. The forum sessions attracted significant participation from Tunisian stakeholders in the renewable energy sector, reflecting the growing importance of this field in supporting sustainable development in Tunisia.
