As part of the ACTE program, a COPIL meeting took place on September 11, 2024, at the headquarters of the ANME to present the progress of the program.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Fathi Hanchi, General Director of the ANME, with the participation of representatives from the Swiss Embassy in Tunisia, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Economy and Planning, the CPSCL, pilot municipalities, the technical assistance group, and the program management unit.
Through this program, the ANME successfully conducted energy audits for all Tunisian municipalities, 350 in total.
This audit helped identify municipal assets, their energy consumption, and establish an energy transition action plan for each municipality. This action plan will reduce municipal energy consumption by 47%.
The ANME has implemented an energy accounting platform to monitor energy consumption and the evolution of municipal assets, accessible through the link: energiecommunes.tn.
The program has also enabled the upskilling of municipal agents in areas related to energy transition, the labeling of 11 municipalities, the provision of local experts (proximity experts) to municipalities, and the necessary reference documents for planning and carrying out their projects (technical guides, specifications, reference materials, etc.).
Through the ACTE program, the ANME has also implemented demonstration projects in pilot municipalities. These projects primarily involve photovoltaic installations to meet the needs of municipal buildings, the renewal of public lighting, the implementation of energy management systems, and the construction of eco-friendly buildings.
